During my career in the corporate field, I mainly worked with commercial clients whose objectives were often placed on profitability, marketability, and speed. Whilst design needed to be compliant and aesthetically pleasing, great compromises were not uncommon.

 

Working with private clients is very different; whilst budget and timescale are as important, the design is priority as it is so personal. It requires a skillset that allows the client to develop an understanding and explore, and my objective is to provide a platform to do this together. You will find more affordable options, but rarely will you get the support that will guide you towards the product; a process that elaborates on design, regulations, constructability, and cost implications.

 

My studio reflects my approach – simplicity combined with functionality and personal items that remind me of different chapters, whether it's a painting, an antique furniture, a lovely stone I picked up on that special walk.
